  • My educational journey started when I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY.  I taught pre-school in Rochester for Crestwood Children’s Center.  Then I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Special Education from SUNY Geneseo.  When I moved to the Syracuse area, I worked as an elementary special education  teacher with OCM BOCES.  I taught for fifteen years at BOCES before I moved on to administration.  I earned my Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Administration with SUNY Oswego and worked as an assistant principal at Oswego City High School.  Now I am excited to go back to my elementary roots.  Elementary is where we set students up for success by teaching the academic content, social skills, and coping strategies which children will rely on.  I look forward to working with you and your student this year.

  • My educational journey began in the Syracuse City School District over 16 years ago where I taught grades K-5 in both general and special education. I earned my Master’s degree (MST) from Lemoyne College and had many wonderful opportunities to reach so many children while I was in the classroom. Over the past 4 years I have served as an instructional coach delivering professional development and training teachers on "best practices" in education. More recently, I earned my Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in administration from SUNY Oswego. I believe that all students can learn and each individual has a greatness within them.  I am very excited to become a leader in the APW school district and look forward to being part of such a wonderful community.
